 Wow, you've got a really beautiful voice. I like the song, good work on both parts.  I couldn't understand some of the lyrics but from what I could hear, I thought it was well written. You should definitely upload some more tracks if you can.  I'm impressed.

your singing is really gooood  the acoustic guitar at the front sounds too loud i think, in some places. you really have such a sweet voice though

I agree about the guitar, it could have been better. But it was all in one take, and we never attempted to change it  And it was over a year ago haha. But am glad you guys still like it though

I have to agree with everyone else here. Your voice is outstanding.
I liked the lyrics of this one. I think if you were given the time and resources you could definitely be a commercial success.
At the risk of repeating myself, your voice is one of the best I have ever heard. Top marks for this one.

You certainly have a clear, sweet voice! And you sing intelligent lyrics, matters which are universal and which everyone can relate to. You're definitely on the right lines. Am I right in thinking you are young (young to me is under 25) If so, I'm sure you do have great things ahead of you as Francis says. Most people on this site can see past technical problems regarding how much fancy gear you have to record and mix yourself with, so don't worry too much about that. Just keep writing and posting, I'm sure you'l get a lot of encouragement here.

A good song can simply stand up all by itself even if it was performed acapella and this is one of those for sure. Your voice is pitch perfect with plenty of depth and bend, each note you reach for is captured and I especially like the rich resonance on the line 'destination unknown' - to sing so beautifully is a gift and to write the perfect material for yourself & others is doubly clever & exciting. The talent as I've said before when listening to Def Vox material is astounding. These songs are so original you really must continue to get them out here for the world to enjoy.

well I've just read through all the comments and all I can add is no, i can do better than that, you have beautiful voice...this song is lovely, great lyrics and well delivered (I like the almost "angry" feel that comes from the guitar, suits the song well) yay!!

turn up guitar volume, but turn down its bass//rhythm and turn up its treble (p.s. love the guitar wetness and noise reduction) experiment with the guitar tones & strumming patterns - ull get it eventully - great voice it feels so natural and not so stressed - keep workin at everything your extremely talented. great song. kudos.

You have excellent lyrics in all your songs as well Deane, you and Fra make a great team in singing/songwriting... I'd like to hear some tracks where you both sing and play on them. nice idea with the guitar, it does need some more depth, I'd say double track the guitar with the original eq'ed with a lot of low end, and then this over it if you ever go back to this, but I know we rarely do...
I really like your voice, you have good "o"'s, very nice nasal concentration.
Unique song this is.

I know that it's not always easy to record a guitar, especially when the mic is a singing mic (I have the same problems while recording some of my stuff  ) Nevertheless, it doesn't take any of the song's beauty away! Your voice shines through and well, in this song, I think the vocal parts are the most important parts. I must contradict AcousticGrrl and say that your words do come out and I hear everything quite clear

Yep, the vocals are completely intelligible if I actually give my attention to this piece of music instead of my commentary.
You have a beautiful voice; a nice, low-key, mature sound. The guitar's a little rough, but we all know it's just there to accompany YOU afterall.
The lyrics are wonderful, and right on of course. You're just preaching to the choir as far as I'm concerned Everyone can identify and completely agree with this, so in that way it's actually less interesting than a more focused, personal subject.
Yeah, but whatever, right? It's a good song, and well sung.

well, first off, you have a groupie in fran, who actually pointed me in your direction, and with NO dissapointment. your lyrics are poignant. the first thing i listen for are always the lyrics. the second are the vocals, which are absolutely beutiful as a little bird told me. your guitar spells emotion actually. you have done a wonderful job here deane. i'm very glad i get the chance to hear it over and over again!
